Diving Instructor Training

From 7. to 11.9 and from 22. to 25.9 our EOBV diving instructor seminar took place again this year.

The seminar was divided into two parts. The first part (pedagogical part) took place from 7 – 11.9 at the Attersee. There, in addition to the apnea program, various exercises such as controlled emergency ascents from 40m depth under alternate breathing and the recovery of an unconscious diver from 20m depth had to be demonstrated in exemplary quality. The program also included various teaching units such as physics, ecology and medicine, as well as technical presentations by our participants.

Part 2 took place this year for the first time at Lake Längsee. This includes the examination in accordance with the applicable Proof of Professional Knowledge Ordinance. Here, the existing training path is followed up and the knowledge and skills are expanded in order to be able to independently not only carry out diving work, but also to supervise it safely and, if necessary, to teach it. The program included various tasks related to surveying and documentation work as well as general diving work in both hose-free and hose-supplied form.

We congratulate our TL-candidates Dietmar Stieger (K), Michael Rabitsch (K) and Manuel Liebherr (OÖ) for passing their exams and welcome them to the EOBV instructor team.
