Special certification “diving with full mask”

EOBV special certificate “diving with full mask”

Theoretical knowledge is just as important as practical skills, so this 2-day course includes all the situations necessary to dive safely with a full face mask as well as the theoretical basics. The training is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. With the latter, the focus is not only on ordinary dives with a full face mask, but above all on mastering the equipment in connection with communication devices, lines, etc. Simulating a defective mask and changing to the normal diving mask as well as putting it on again and flooding the full mask is strengthened by constant repetition and practiced at different depths. The maximum depth for taking off and putting on the full mask is 25m during training and therefore requires a certain psychological stability and above all “no” fear of the water. Dives are allowed until at least 30m and up to max. 40m carried out. The course participant is safely accompanied by our EOBV diving instructors, who know the dangers and have sufficient experience and skills to safely carry out training dives in our latitudes, in cold water and at great depths, as well as under difficult environmental conditions.

Prerequisite for the full mask course

– EOBV 2 star or equivalent training

– The special topic deep diving must be certified

– Minimum age of 18 years

Why all the effort for diving with a full face mask?

The EOBV is a state-approved training facility.

This means that we have the right to train divers for “general diving work”, “research and engineering divers” and “signal persons” within the meaning of the FK-V (Federal Law Gazette II No. 13/2007). In addition to the EOBV, only the WIFI-OÖ has this right in Austria. For the normal scuba diver, apart from a well-founded training, this does not play a role for the time being. Only when the diving student decides to continue his education, for example to work at a diving center, does this authorization come into play. Then our high-quality training is important right from the start. Only further development shows the way, but the foundation stone is already laid in the beginning with a well-founded training. Many stop at the Independent Diver qualification and have a lot of fun doing it. Should also be like that, but we can give the few others an internationally recognized vocational training because of our authorization.
